The Coalition to Diversify Computing (CDC), a joint organization of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), the Computing Research Association (CRA), and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS); the Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in IT (CMD-IT); Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CAHSI); and the Alliance for Access to Computing Careers (AccessComputing) are organizing the fourth annual Academic Workshop for Underrepresented Ethnic Minorities and People with Disabilities with funding from NSF to cover participant travel, lodging, and meeting logistics.

This summer tutorial workshop is being sponsored by the National Computational Science Institute (NCSI) with support from TeraGrid, Blue Waters, the SC 2011 conference's Education Program, and other organizations.
The workshop includes FREE housing and meals for the full week. There are funds available for travel.

The Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) model has been tested and successfully implemented in chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics courses at a wide variety of institutions for over 15 years. The PLTL model is robust and can be adapted to and implemented in a variety of teaching situations. The workshop will address the needs of all disciplines in beginning and institutionalizing a PLTL program.
