CAHSI

Overview

CAHSI's focus to recruit, retain and advance Hispanics in computing is supported by our student research efforts. The Student Poster Sessions, Lecture Series, and Research Opportunities are new initiatives that are being developed to support  our mentoring framework (Mentor-Hug, Mentor-Grad, Mentor-Prof, and Mentor-Lead).

The Student Poster Sessions have been praised by many of the attendees for the quality of the research presented and the knowledge and presentation skills of the students. These activities served as means of networking for the students participating as well as the attendees. A book of extended abstracts on the first meeting and proceedings on the second meeting were produced as a means of dissemination of ongoing research conducted by CAHSI students.

The CAHSI Lecture Series brings prominent academic and industry researchers to our campuses to deliver technical talk(s) in an effort to promote research and research collaborations.
